PPL Shortlisted for ‘Change Management in the Public Sector’ MCA 2016 Award
Leading independent consultancy, PPL, has been shortlisted for two prestigious Management Consultancies Association (MCA) 2016 Awards.
Recognising our work in the healthcare public sector over the last eight years, the MCA have shortlisted PPL for an award in ‘Change Management in the Public Sector’ for the Epsom Health and Care Programme.
The Epsom Health and Care Programme was established in 2015, with the aim of transforming how care is delivered within Epsom, Surrey. The Epsom Programme is a proactive, strategic initiative undertaken by health, community and social care provider organisations to deliver effective care to the over-65 population across a whole care pathway, not just as individual organisations and services.
The Programme seeks to improve the way in which existing services are delivered and to move towards a partnership dedicated to providing integrated care with the patient at the centre. Partnering together, PPL Consultancy alongside Epsom and St. Helier University Hospital Trust, GP Health Partners, Surrey County Council, Central Surrey Health and Surrey Downs CCG developed a new way of working collaboratively.
PPL began work in June, and since this time the Epsom Health and Care Programme has made signficant strides towards establishing the new model of care, including the creation of a Strategic Board to agree the vision and outcomes that would signal success.
The Programme has already generated a new innovative, community-led service – the Community Assessment and Diagnostic Unit (CADU) – a pionnering service which provides rapid, on the day access for over-65s to assessments, diagnositcs and community care in a single location.
PPL has driven the establishment of the Programme, encouraged organisationsal collaboration of providers and contributed to the strategic design of the initative. Operationally, PPL has facilitated co-design of the new community CADU service and supported its rapid implementation over an intensive 6-week period.
PPL’s co-founders Simon Morioka and Claire Kennedy are delighted to have been shortlisted for the award: “We are very proud to be shortlisted again for the MCA ‘Change Management in the Public Sector’ Award. The MCA are established as the leading organisation for Management Consulting excellence in the UK. The Awards, now in their 19th year, are a benchmark for quality within the consulting industry and way of recognising innovation and success.
The winners will be agreed and announced by an independent panel of experts on 21st April at the awards evening ceremony.
