Russell joined PPL as an Analyst in April 2016 after five years working across the public and third sectors. Most recently, Russell worked for a local authority in the North West, managing the development and delivery of youth and play services. In this role he was also seconded to the Integrated Children’s Public Health Commissioning Team, where he led on establishing a social franchise within the authority and project managed a review of the local authority’s SEND reforms. Before joining the Youth and Play Service management team, Russell spent just under three years working as a frontline Youth Worker in the Authority.
Alongside his role as a Youth Worker, Russell previously worked as a researcher for Youth Focus North West. In this role Russell took on a range of engagements focused on policy and service development for clients such as the LGA, NHS North West, and Bury Metropolitan Borough Council. During university, Russell also worked for the charity Frontline in marketing and development roles.
Russell holds a BA (Hons.) (Cantab) History from the University of Cambridge.
