John Foster CBE
John was a local authority Chief Executive for more than 19 years. He stepped down as Chief Executive of the London Borough of Islington in June 2011 to pursue an active career as an advisor and non-executive director in the public sector. During his career as a Chief Executive, he established high level working relationships with a range of political leaders and was one of the first Chief Executives in local government to work with a directly elected Mayor.
