Greg Parston is a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Global Health Innovation, Imperial College London, where until 2019 he led IGHI’s research on diffusion of healthcare innovation. He works as an independent consultant advising on strategy, governance and change management.

In 1989, Greg co-founded and was Chief Executive of the Office for Public Management, which undertook change management projects throughout public services. Following OPM’s conversion to an employee-owned trust in 2006, Greg was invited to establish and direct Accenture’s Institute for Public Service Value, a global research centre dedicated to improving outcomes in public service delivery. Earlier in his career, Greg was Deputy Director of the King’s Fund College in London and Vice President of Downstate Medical Center in New York City.

Greg is well regarded for successfully establishing innovative organisations and initiatives. In addition to OPM and IPSV, he co-founded Take Our Daughters to Work UK, devised the Transition to Adulthood (T2A) scheme to help prevent youth offending and was an originator of the idea of the community interest company (CIC) in the UK. He twice received the European Healthcare Management Association’s award for innovation in management development.

Greg was educated in architecture and economics at the University of Michigan and earned a PhD in town planning at the University of London as a Marshall Scholar.
