PPL shortlisted for HealthInvestor Award
posted 02 March 2015

Leading independent consultancy PPL has been shortlisted as ‘Strategic Consultants of the Year’ in the HealthInvestor Awards 2015.

Recognising PPL’s work over the last seven years in public service transformation, HealthInvestor’s panel of experts have shortlisted organisations that are making an outstanding contribution to the UK health sector.

With a growing reputation for their ground-breaking work in delivering integrated care, PPL’s work has international significance and is being highlighted as a blueprint for others to follow.

PPL’s innovative and transformational work around integrated care spans across local, regional and national levels. Locally, the PPL team is working in close partnership with health and social care providers in a number of localities to shape and deliver practical projects and programmes that focus services around the needs of patients. Nationally, PPL is the only consultancy that has been involved in all three phases of the Better Care Fund National Support Programme. The programme, which has run over the past eight months, is jointly commissioned by the Department for Health, NHS England, Local Government Association and Department for Communities and Local Government

Aimed at overcoming some of the challenges faced by CCGs and local authorities in integrating health and social care services, the current phase of the national and regional support programme includes the development of a network for sharing information on the integration of health and social care, enabling the Better Care Fund to meet its goal of creating more joined-up services and placing the well-being of patients at the heart of health and care services.

PPL’s co-founders Simon Morioka and Claire Kennedy are thrilled to have been shortlisted, having also recently been shortlisted for two MCA Awards:

“We are extremely proud to have been shortlisted for the HealthInvestor Awards, and pleased to be given the opportunity to celebrate innovation in the sector in which we work.

“We believe that the best way to deliver better outcomes for patients is to support professionals, carers and communities to transform services from the ground up. We thrive when working in partnership with our clients to join up care and challenge thinking to drive positive change.”

HealthInvestor has established itself as a leading title covering the UK health sector. Now in their 8th year, the HealthInvestor awards were established in 2007 as a way of promoting excellence and recognising innovation in the sector.
